City Council meeting of June 5. 1995 <br />Page ._ti <br />currently zoned RR1, which allows 1,00 sq ft of accessory buildings. <br />This property is subject to an existing SUP permitting a 48' x 6=' <br />structure already located on the site. Mr. Johnson has stated that he <br />needs the additional building to store farm equipment related to his sod <br />business. After discussion of City ordinances, the following motion was <br />made: <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to forward Mr. Johnson's request to <br />the Hugo Planning Commission for their consideration and public hearing. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />JUVENILE CURFEW ORDINANCE <br />The Council has received a draft Juvenile Curfew Ordinance. as discussed <br />at the Council meetina of May 15, 1995. <br />LaValle made motion. Goiffon seconded, to schedule a public hearing for <br />July 17, 1995, to consider adoption of a Juvenile Curfew Ordinance. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />ATKINSON AGREEMENT <br />The Council considered an amended Agreement between the City of Hugo and <br />Dean and Ruby Atkinson regarding their operation of a gravel pit and rock <br />crusher on their property located in the SW quadrant of the intersection <br />of Irish Avenue and 147th Street. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to table this matter until the meeting <br />Of June 6, 1995. _ <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />140TH STREET CONCERNS <br />The City received two letters from residents of 140th Street, between <br />County Road BA and Keystone Avenue, regarding members of the public <br />accessing Lake Plaisted and School Section Lake from the road. The <br />residents requested that the Council consider establishing off-road public <br />access some where other than 140th Street due to blockage of the road by <br />people launching their boats, litter being deposited along the roadway, <br />people using private driveways to turn their vehicles around, and other <br />problems. Residents of the area were present at the meeting, and the <br />Council discussed different "No Parking" options to help alleviate the <br />problems. <br />Barnes made motion, Miron seconded, direct City staff to explore "No <br />Parking" options on 140th Street adjacent to Lake Plaisted. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
