The Sheriff offered <br />two plans to deal with the City -owned squad car concern by either leasing <br />the vehicle from the Council at $.31 per mile, or the City purchase the <br />squad car and the County bill direct, costs for maintenance, repairs, and <br />operating expenses. <br />Leroux made motion, Goiffon seconded, to table action on the 1996 Law <br />Enforcement Contract for further review. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />ANIMAL CONTROL ORDINANCE <br />Since the public hearing of July 5, 1995, Councilmembers Barnes and <br />LaValle have met with City residents regarding the proposed ordinance to <br />regulate the keeping of dogs within the City. Their efforts have resulted <br />in a revised ordinance, which was reviewed by the Council. Because of the <br />changes made to the ordinance since the public hearing, the following <br />motion was made: <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to schedule a public hearing for <br />October 16, 1995, at 7:05 PM, to consider an ordinance regulating the <br />keeping of dogs within the City. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />SELECTION OF PLANNING CONSULTANT <br />On August 28, 1995, the City Council considered proposals by four planning <br />firms to provide their services to the City in developing a downtown <br />redevelopment plan. At that meeting, the City Council and Planning <br />Commission expressed interest in receiving more information from two of <br />the firms, the Hoisingon M::oegler Group, and Loucks and Associates. These <br />two firms have provided the City a proposal to provide planning services <br />jointly at a cost of approximately $34,000. Representatives from the two <br />firms were present at the meeting to discuss their proposal with the <br />Council. <br />Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to accept <br />and delay selection of a Planning Consultant <br />program is included in the 1995 budget. <br />All aye.
