City Council meeting of October 2, 1995 <br />Page 4 <br />Miron made motion, Goiffon seconded, directing City staff to obtain a bid <br />to install tile from the Homestead Avenue pond along the south line of the <br />Waller property, prior to setting a public informational meeting. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />At this time, City Engineer Tom Angus introduced Todd Hubmer, who is <br />replacing Pete Willenbring at OSM. <br />COMPLAINT REGARDING NOISE AT LOCAL BUSINESS <br />The City received a complaint from a resident living adjacent to RJ's <br />regarding loud music on the site. This is the second complaint from the <br />resident. The Washington County Sheriff's Department has also indicated <br />an interest in receiving prior notice on entertainment events happening in <br />the community. The City of Hugo currently does not have an ordinance <br />requiring permits for special events conducted in the "open" or off site. <br />The Council may wish to consider the adoption of an ordinance regulating <br />special events in the community. <br />Leroux made motion, LaValle seconded, directing Citi staff determine the <br />feasibility of incorporating open or off-site special events with issuance <br />of liquor licenses. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />1995 PRIORITIES <br />The Council received a revised City's Priority Worksheet, as amended based <br />on comments received from the Council. Staff requested that the Council <br />complete the worksheets by October 16, 1995, and establish a date for a <br />workshop shortly thereafter to consider the City's 1996 priorities. No <br />further action was taken. <br />LAKE AIR ESTATES DRAINAGE PROJECT <br />The City Engineer received one quote ($46,000) to perform the drainage <br />work. at Lake Air Estates. Because of the cost of project, it was <br />determined that the City should obtain bids, and consider assessing the <br />project for improvements rather than paying for it out of general funds. <br />Miron made motion. Barnes seconded, authorizing the City obtain firm bids <br />for the Lake Air Estates drainage problem for opening on November 3. 1995, <br />and presented to the Council at their meeting of November 6, 1995. <br />Miron made motion, Leroux seconded, amending_ the motion to include two <br />options for the project: cleaning ditch or installation of drain tile. <br />VOTE ON AMENDMENT: All aye. Motion Carried. <br />VOTE ON ORIGINAL MOTION: All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
