Planning Commission Meeting March 28, 2004 page 3 <br />After discussion, the Planning Commission was in agreement that the following issues should be addressed: <br />Parking <br />Circulation of traffic -install signs <br />Property line adjustment <br />Fire Hydrants <br />Traffic and pedestrian control <br />Rosenquist made motion, McRoberts seconded, to table the request for site plan approval for the additions to the <br />Sixty-one Stop building to allow the applicant to address the issues mentioned above and apply for the necessary <br />variance and Conditional Use Permit. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Special Use Permit (American Tower) <br />At its February 28, 2001 meeting, the Planning tabled the request of American Tower, 11600 96h Avenue <br />North, Maple Grove, for a Conditional Use Permit to construct and operate a 199' self-supporting lattice tower <br />for the purpose of wireless communication. The Planning Commission tabled the request because the applicant <br />had not demonstrated compliance with the applicable provisions by failing to show the tower is needed to meet <br />the provider's frequency reuse and spacing requirements. <br />In a letter to the Community Development Director dated March 27, 2001, Jason Hall, Senior Zoning <br />Representative for American Tower informed the City that he was withdrawing his application and was <br />investigating the possibility of co -locating on a nearby site. <br />McRoberts made motion, Rosenquist seconded, to bring the application off the table. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Kleissler made motion, Peltier seconded, to accept the withdrawal of the application of American Tower. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Site Plan Approval (Woody's Bar) <br />At it's February 28, 2001 meeting, the Planning Commission considered an application from Brad Smith, owner <br />and operator of Woody's Bar, for site plan approval to construct a 2, 060 square foot addition to Woody's Bar <br />located at 12010 Keystone Avenue North. The same evening, the Board of Adjustments and Appeals <br />considered a variance for a side -yard set back for the addition, and recommended denial. The Commission <br />tabled action on the application to allow Smith to address concerns of the Commission pertaining to the size of <br />the structure, parking and traffic, building codes, landscaping, and the adequacy of the existing foundation. <br />The Community Development Director updated the Planning Commission on Smith's progress on the revisions <br />to his site plan and told the Commission they could expect to have it before them at the Planning Commission <br />meeting on April 25, 2001. <br />
