Motion Carried. <br />PRESENTATION (FETE WILLENBRING) <br />Mr. Willenbring updated the City Council on the status of the City's Water <br />Management Flan, and also discussed the project currently underway in the <br />City of Lino Lakes to review the Clearwater Creek drainage channel. A <br />workshop date will be decided at a later time. <br />199' AUDIT REPORT <br />Linda S. Graupman and James C. Fayette of Boyum and Barenscheer presented <br />the City Council their findings from the City's 1993 audit. <br />Stoltzman made motion, Barnes seconded, to accept the 1993 audit report <br />from Boyum and Barenscheer. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />WASTE MANAGEMENT GRANT <br />The City of Hugo is eligible for a grant in the amount of $15,620 from <br />Washington County for the establishment, administration, and operation for <br />residential, curb side recycling activities in 1994. As the City is now <br />over 5,000 in population, the City is required, by State law, to establish <br />such a program. Given the availability of the grant money from Washington <br />County, and the legal need to establish a recycling program, the City <br />Administrator requested approval to advertise for a temporary recycling <br />coordinator to assist the City in establishing its program. <br />Miran made motion, Barnes seconded -authorizing the City Administrator to <br />advertise for a temporary recycling coordinator to'assist the City in <br />establishing a curb side recycling program. <br />VOTING AYE: Barnes, Leroux, Miron, Stoltzman <br />VOTING NAY: Brunotte <br />Motion Carried. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT FAY REPORT <br />Fire Chief, Jim Wisner, has requested that the City Council consider <br />paying fire fighters, on an hourly basis, for attendance at training <br />drills. Currently, the City pays a fixed stipend to fire fighters, with <br />over five years experience, who attend at least 75% of all scheduled <br />training exercises and meetings. The City Finance Director, Ron Otkin, <br />has reviewed the fire fighter pay policies from 21 metro suburbs, of under <br />10,000 population, to compare city pay practices for fire fighters. His <br />report was provided for Council consideration. <br />
