REQUEST FOR TEMPORARY HELP (PUBLIC UTILITIESZ Roger Bacon, the City's Utility Superintendent, requested authority to employ, on a temporary, as -needed basis, an individual to assist him in his duties in operating and maintaining the City's sewer and water system. He recommended that the temporary help be paid $7.00 an hour. Staff recommended that Mr. Bacon be allowed to employ temporary help, from time to time, with the approval of the City Administrator. Stolt man made motion, Barnes seconded, to authorize employment of temporary help, on an as -needed basis, to assist Roger Bacon in his duties in operating and maintaining the City's sewer and water system. Rate of pay to be set at $7.Ot) per hour. All aye. Motion Carried. CEMETERY ORDINANCE The City Council reviewed a proposed ordinance regarding the City's proposed participation and maintenance of the Walker cemetery. 'This ordinance establishes a mechanism for the City to assist the Sunshiner's 4H Club in the care and restoration of the cemetery. Leroux, made motion, Miron seconded, to schedule a public hearing for June 20, 1994, at 7:05 PM, to consider an ordinance regarding the City's proposed participation and maintenance of the Walker cemetery. All aye. Motion Carried. WILD ANIMAL ORDINANCE The City Attorney prepared a draft ordinance regulating the keeping of wild animals in the City of Hugo. The ordinance prohibits the keeping of any wild, dangerous, or nondomesticated animals within the corporate limits of the City, except as specifically permitted by the ordinance. Miron made motion, Brunotte seconded, to table this matter to allow time for the City Attorney to make revisions to the ordinance, as requested by the Council. All aye. Motion Carried.
