PLANNING COMMISSION VACANCY (TAMMY MILTZ-MILLER) Mrs. Miller has expressed interest in serving on the HUgo Planning Commission, filling the seat vacated earlier this year by Dan Davis. Mrs. Miller appeared before at the last Planning Commission meeting, and was interviewed by Mrs. Peltier, PC chairperson, and Robert MUseus, City Administrator. It is their recommendation that Mrs. Miller be appointed to gill the remaining term of Mr. Davis on the Commission. Miron made motion. MINING PERMIT' (INDYM::IEWICZ ) to appoint Tamara Miltz--Miller to fill the Hugo Planning Commission. Term of Mr. George Indykiewicz. 192Ca West Highway 96, New Brighton, MN., requested renewal of his Mininq_ Permit to remove sand and black dirt tram his property. Review of the site indicates that Mr. Indyk:iewicz has substantially complied with the terms of his existing Mining Permit, which expires 11/01/94. Staff recommended renewal of the permit subject to the same terms and conditions as the recently expired permit. Leroux made mot.ior-i. DRAFT SOLID WASTE ORDINANCE The Council considered a draft Solid Waste Ordinance regulating collection and disposal of solid waste in the City of Hugo. In order to adopt this Ordinance in time to make the City eligible for recycling grants from Washington County in 1995, staff requested that the Council establish a hearing date of November 21, 1994, to consider adoption of this ordinance. Miron made motion, Barnes seconded, to schedule a public hearing for November 21, 1994, at 7:05 PM, to consider adoption of a Solid Waste Ordinance regulating collection and disposal of solid waste.
