The club will also continue to do <br />everything possible to minimize noise. <br />Mr. Bob Waller, 14310 Homestead Avenue, felt that the area was rapidly becoming ur- <br />banized. Cities to the south and west of Hugo no longer permit the discharging of <br />firearms. He felt they had the right idea. <br />Mr. Dennis Schreifels, 13125 Goodview Avenue, a member of the club, stated that he <br />had no problems with any noise from the club. He felt the club should be allowed <br />to continue to operate. <br />Mr. Foster Hinton, 2156 East Minnehaha, stated the club is only open to the public <br />on Saturday and Sundays. <br />Let the record show that a petition has been filed with the City of Hugo listing <br />names and addresses of people opposed to the Bald Eagle Sportsman Association. <br />The public hearing was closed at 8:54PM. <br />The regular Planning Commission meeting was called to order by Chairman Ehret at 9:03 PM, <br />PRESENT: Ehret, Peloquin, Peltier, Greger, Gillen, and McAllister <br />ABSENT: Rosenquist <br />Motion made by Peltier, seconded by McAllister, to approve the minutes of January 25, <br />1978, after the following changes have been made: <br />Page 1 line 6) - there were too many restrictions on the developer <br />Page 1 Brevig) - Mr. Brevig has requested permission <br />Page 2 2nd paragraph) - the motion is based on Planning Commission review of <br />these specific zoning chapters <br />Page 2 (last motion) - 2. Motion carried. <br />Bald Eagle Sportsman's Association - Special Use Permit <br />Chairman Ehret stated that in lieu of the information presented at the public hearing <br />he would suggest that the Commission obtain more info from the PCA and Ea regarding <br />noise pollution. Further study should be done on the ruling from the Supreme Court <br />on noise pollution <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Peltier, that the request for a Special Use <br />Permit made by the Bald Eagle Sportsman's Association be tabled for further study by <br />the Planning Commission regarding noise pollution. <br />McAllister withdrew his motion. <br />Gillen asked Mr. Peters how he felt about the nearby residents to the club and their <br />problem. Basically, Mr. Peters stated that everything is relative. If you belong to <br />the club, the noise would other you. He stated that if he lived close to the club, <br />the noise would not bother ham. Gillen stated that he feels we are in a growing <br />
