Hugo Planning Commission <br />October 24, 1979 <br />Page 2 of 4 <br />SHUBAT AND PRAZICH - REZONING (cont.) <br />Motion made by Greger, seconded by Peltier, to recommend denial of the <br />request of Charles Shubat and George Prazich to rezone property located <br />at 16155 Forest Blvd. North, from AG to Industrial for the following rea- <br />sons: <br />1. Hugo does not need any additional Industrial land. <br />2. Do not feel the city should have an Industrial zone located on <br />both side of a main arterial. <br />3. Land is located adjacent to SFE area and therefore, does not comply <br />with the Comprehensive Plan. <br />The -entire Planning'Commission did not agree totally with the reasons for <br />the denial of the application. <br />VOTING FOR: Lorch, Hanson, Greger, Houle, McAllister and Peltier <br />ABSTAINED: Peloquin <br />Motion Carried. <br />WILLIAM CLARK - VARIANCE <br />Mr. Clark has made application to construct his garage closer to Home- <br />stead Avenue than the main residence. Councilman Irsfeld felt that <br />when the Special Use Permit was approved, the variance was also granted <br />(Condition 5). Mr. Clark stated that Howard Kuusisto and Tom Crever <br />informed him that a variance would be required. The Site Plan submitted <br />in conjunction with the oAginal Special Use Permit, indicated that the <br />garage would be located closer to Homestead Drive than the house. <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Lorch, that the Planning Commission <br />place Mr. Bill Clark on the agenda for the next City Council meeting, <br />and that the City Council provide direction for the Building Inspector <br />and City Engineer regarding this matter. It was recommended thct the <br />$15.00 fee for the variance be refunded. <br />VOTING FOR: Lorch, Hanson, Greger, Houle, McAllister, Peloquin and Peltier <br />Motion Carried, <br />NICK LEBENS. JR - PURCHASE OF LAND ON FALCON AVENUE <br />Not present. <br />JOHN NORTON - SPECIAL USE PERMIT <br />Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Greger, to add Mr. John Norton <br />to the agenda for discussion only. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
