Hugo Planning Commission
April 25. 1979
Tavernier — cont.
should either recommend denial or approval because the use is not allowed by Special
Use Permit in the SFE zone. Mr. Tavernier stated that he maintains 10 boats, and would
provide Satellites in the area. Greger stated that in previous years neighbors have
complained about the parking facilities and a Special Use Permit would give the city
some control over the area. Mr. Tavernier was requested to provide the Commission
with the following:
1. A Site Plan indicating the exact size of his lot.
2. Position of proposed building on the lot.
3. Size of parking area and surface, and where located on the lot.
4. Must meet setback requirements for SFE zone
50' front yard
30' rear yard
10' interior lot line
5. Indicate buildings on lot, and what is going to be torn down.
JEFF HUGHES — PURCHASE OF 3 ACRES IN AG ZONE
Not present
BRUCE MYiR?E — SPECIAL USE PERMIT
Mr. Myhre, 12922 Irish Avenue, is requesting permission to construct a 36 x 72 pole
barn to used in the storage of feed for horses, and personal equipment. The land is
zoned RRII. A letter from adjoining property owners stating that they do not object
to the building is on file.
Motion made McAllister, seconded by Peloquin, to recommend approval of the Special
Use Permit for Bruce Myhre to construct a 36 x 72 pole barn to be used for private
storage, according to site plan submitted. Barn not to be rented for compensation.
VOTING FOR: Peloquin, Peltier, Gillen, Greger, McAllister, Hanson and Houle
MOTION CARRIED
LAWRENCE JASINSKI — REZONING
Mr. Jasinski would like to sell a 5 acre tract of land on the south end of his farm.
After much discussion, the Commission could determine the exact boundaries of the pro—
perty. There is a possibility that part of the land is now under water (Horseshoe Lake).
The land is presently zoned Agriculture. In order to get to the 5 acre tract, Greystone
Avenue would have to be extended 601. Greystone is now deadend at Mr. Jasinski's
driveway.
Motion made by Gillen, seconded by McAllister, to table the request for rezoning until
Mr. Jasinski can provide a better picture of his property. Attorney Johnson and Engi—
neer Kuusisto requested to clarify the boundaries on reparian rights on Horseshoe Lake.
McAllister asked that the request include the question as to whether the lake itself
constitutes property as far as minimum zoning requirements. McAllister withdrew his
second. The motion was then seconded by Greger.
VOTING FOR: Greger, Gillen
ABSTAINED: Peloq uin
VOTING AGAINST: Peltier, McAllister, Hanson and Houle
MOTION FAILED
