Hugo Planning Commission
February 289 1979
Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Gillen, to set a public hearing for March 28,
1979, at 7:30 PM, to consider the request of Vern Peloquin for a subdivision for the
Peloquin Industrial Park.
All aye. Motion Carried.
Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Peltier, to recommend approval of the Minor
Subdivision for Vern Peloquin. Let it be noted we accept the letter of credit to
guarantee construction of the proposed Fur Avenue, 200' to cover access to proposed
Lot 1, Block 1, as described by metes and bounds.
VOTING FOR: Peltier, Greger, McAllister and Ehret
VOTING AGAINST: Gillen (opposed to procedure)
Motion Carried
Let it be noted that the Planning Commission has received Peloquin's preliminary plat
for the Industrial Park as requested by the City Council in late 1978. The Planning
Commission considered the City Council's request that no further Minor Subdivisions
be granted in'the'Industrial Park until subdivision was completed. The Planning
Commission also noted the contract for deed between Richard Olson and Vern Peloquin
was filed and dated August 15, 1977, but not registered in Washington County.
SITE PLAN APPROVAL
Mr. Olson stated that he has contacted Howard Kuusisto regarding drainage for the
proposed building, was not given any specific direction. He stated he would be
willing to abide with requirements of the city.
Motion made by McAllister, seconded by Peltier, to recommend approval of the Site
Plan for Richard Olson as presented.
VOTING FOR: Peltier-,, Greger, Gillen, McAllister and Ehret
Motion Carried.
Let the minutes show that the request is for a masonry building, but that a building
similar to others in the Industrial Park and accepted by the city as industrial
development buildings, could be submitted.
WILLIAM TREPANIER — SITE PLAN APPROVAL
Mr. Trepanier was present$ and stated that he would like to construct a pole barn on
his 5.58 acres, zoned SFU. The Commission determined that the property was in the
flood plain, and a Special Use Permit would be required rather than a Site Plan.
Motion made by Ehret, seconded by Gillen, to table the Trepanier request until the
next regular meeting, March 149 1979, for review as to the requirements in the Flood
Plain District for a building of this nature.
All aye. Motion Carried.
QUINT ENTERPRISE — MINOR SUBDIVISION
Mr. John Moore, representing Quint Enterprise, was present, and submitted to the
Commission proof of ownership for the property to be divided. He stated that the
document proves that the 30' does in fact belong to the Molitors. Mrs. Delores
