Thompson, an attorney <br />representing cities located in the Memorial Hospital District regarding a <br />hearing for preliminary injunction to block the sale of Di<strict. Memorial <br />Hospital to HealthSpan. Mr, Thompson has requested thtat a4 representative <br />from the City of Hugo attend a hearing on June 10, 1993l at 9:OOAM, at the <br />Washington County Courthouse. City Attorney, Greg Galler, will be present <br />at the hearing. <br />LETTER - t_Ah::F ATF: E� I"F',T E'S 1)F:A l hJAGE' F'R[JBLFM <br />The City of Hugo received a 'letter- from property owners located in the <br />Lake Air Estates Subdivision requesting ass•is•tcirit::e in correcting drainage <br />problems they etre experiencing. City attorney's opinion regarding the- <br />City's responsibilities in this matter was provided to the Council. Staff <br />recommends the following course of action: <br />1. The City engage a contractor to cleanup the areas disturbed by the <br />City during the spring of 1992. In addition, Council may authorize <br />staff to help establish a homeowner's association for lake Air Estates <br />in order to maintain and repair the drainage systems located in the <br />subdivision <br />With residents ,pres.ent from, the subdivision, there was a lengthy <br />discussion regarding causes of t.f"tf:: problems.., and how they can be <br />rectified. <br />Leroux made motion, Stoltzman seconded, dircct:rg the s1: Engineer <br />to <br />develop a plan of action to alleviate the drainage problems in the Lake <br />Air Estates subdivision, and report his f.indi.ngs to the :_ot_!.r"!=il. as soon as <br />possible. <br />VOTING AYE: Brunotte, Leroux, M:.iron, Stolt mart <br />VOTING NAY: Barney; <br />Motion Carried. <br />Barnes made motion, Mi.ron seconded, <br />investigate how White Bear Township <br />correct drainage problems. <br />All aye.
