City Council Minutes - July 20, 1992 <br />Page 3 <br />Mr. Dennis Werkmeister informed the Council the work would begin in <br />September and be completed in November. The gas company has agreed with <br />the nearest homeowner to plant trees for screening and to paint the <br />building similar to his residence. Mr. Werkmeister stated they will be <br />boring under Co. Rd. 57 and will not interrupt Washington County's road <br />construction work. <br />Motion made by Stoltzman, seconded by Barnes to approve the request of <br />Northern Natural Gas to expand their regulator/meter facility at Highway <br />61 and 175th St. as indicated on their site plan. <br />All aye, motion passed. <br />1992 ROAD GRAVELING FLAN <br />Eased on the poor condition of many of the gravel roads in the City of <br />Hugo, the trafficability problems experienced on these roads this spring, <br />and the funds available, staff has recommended the addition of a 4" Class <br />5 overlay to approximately seven miles of gravel road in the City of Hugo. <br />Expected cost of this project is $75,000. Staff recommendation is to let <br />bids on this project, and complete the improvement this fall. <br />Finance Director Ron Otkin informed the Council that $53,000 would come <br />from the road maintenance fund, $15,000 from the recodification fund, and <br />$7,000 from the comparable worth fund. 'Tree roads specified were chosen by <br />Road Supt. Charles Shalander as those most in need of repair. <br />Administrator Museus stated that the County would be shaping the roads <br />prior to any graveling. <br />Motion made by Stoltzman, seconded by Leroux to approve the advertisement <br />for bids for the road graveling project as follows: <br />1. <br />152nd St. <br />and Francesca <br />Ave. <br />2. <br />165th St. <br />from Elmcrest <br />to S.T.H. 61. <br />3. <br />175th St. <br />from STH 61 to <br />Greystone Ave. <br />4. <br />Greystone <br />Ave., 175th to <br />177th St. <br />5. <br />177th St. <br />Greystone Ave. <br />to Henna Ave. <br />6. <br />Homestead <br />Ave. 147th to <br />157th St. <br />7. <br />Elmcrest <br />Ave. 129th St. <br />to Frenchman Rd. <br />8. <br />Ingersoll <br />Ave., CSAH 4 to <br />175th St. <br />All aye, motion passed. <br />VARIANCE REQUEST FOR OVER SIZE GARAGE ( RLJPh::US ) <br />Jerome Rupkus has made application to the City of HUQO for a variance to <br />construct an over sized, attached garage as part of a new home he is <br />building at 16:15 Harrow Avenue. Mr. Rupkus would need a variance of 112 <br />sq ft in order to construct the 832 sq ft garage he desires. <br />Motion made by Leroux, seconded by Miron to approve the variance request <br />of Jerome RupkLAS to construct an attached garage Es:?;2 sq. ft. at 16=15 <br />Harrow Ave. <br />All aye, motion passed. <br />
