Planning Commission
December 8, 1976
Page 3
Ron Baker - cont.
3. Request the city to amend its zoning ordinance to Commercial -
Recreational in SPE district .
Greger - I feel whole operation is an intensification. Change from
one non-conforming use to another.
Peltier- What does commercial recreational include, except tavern?
Spitzer - Fisherman terminal.
Ehret - I think we should take a straw vote to see how everyone
feels about the operation, and pursue a way of doing it.
Dave Potter (4394 - 129th Street North) - adjoining property was
present and stated he would rather see the property used as a single
family dwelling. They have a problem with the parking. I •
Spitzer called for a straw vote - Is it your opinion is it in the
best interest of the city to pursue the operation, all or part of
which that is being proposed by Mr. Baker?
Peltier - Yes
Peloquin - Yes
Greger - No
Ehret Yes
Rosenquist - Yes
Gillen - Abstain
Spitzer - matter should be pursued to see if there is a way to see if
we can accomplish what Mr. Baker is looking for.
Rosenquist - To make any kind of rational judgment, we should have a
sketch plan.
Commission voted on each proposal as presented by Mr. Baker.
Yes vote - believe it would not be an intensification as a use as
it now stands.
No vote - would be an intensification
1.
