Staff recommends Council approve the permit for an outdoor <br />public fireworks display on June 11, 2016, subject to a suitable location for discharge. <br />G.6 Approve Special Event Permit for Tough Mudder Event on July 16-17, 2016 <br />Tough Mudder has submitted an application for a Special Event Permit to hold a two day event <br />at Wild Wings Game Farm on July 16th and 17th. Tough Mudder is a for profit company located <br />in Brooklyn, New York, who holds approximately 50 events throughout the United States, <br />Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia. This requires a Special Event Permit approved by <br />Council because there will be approximately 12,000 attendees over the weekend, impacts to <br />public streets, use of an amplified sound system, and alcohol served. Staff has worked with the <br />applicant on details of the event and believes it to be well organized. Staff recommends Council <br />approve the event subject to the conditions listed as part of the permit. <br />G.7 Victor Garden North Village 711 Addition Final Plat. <br />Kettler Construction, Inc. is requesting approval of a final plat in order to plat 33 townhome lots <br />on the 8.51 acre parcel located north of Rosemary Way and east of Elmcrest Avenue. The City <br />Council approved the PUD amendment and preliminary plat for Victor Gardens North Village 7th <br />Addition at its May 16, 2016, meeting. The final plat will plat all 33 townhome lots from the <br />Victor Gardens North Village 7th Addition preliminary plat. There are no changes to the lots <br />from the preliminary plat. Staff recommends approval of the resolution approving the Final Plat <br />and Development Agreement for Victor Gardens North Village 7th Addition, subject to the City <br />Attorney's review and approval. <br />G.8 Approve Separation of Employment for Zaheer Khan from the Hugo Fire Department <br />Fire Chief Kevin Colvard has received an email from Zaheer Khan about his resignation from <br />the Hugo Fire Department for personal reasons. Staff recommends Council accept the separation <br />of employment of Zaheer Khan from the Hugo Fire Department. <br />H.1 Update on Six Cities Meeting on May 26, 2016 <br />Six Cities meeting was held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Lino Lakes City Hall. The <br />purpose of the meeting was to discuss the Met Council's Joint Water Utility Feasibility Study <br />that was completed in December, 2015. This study reviews the potential to combine the <br />municipal water systems of six cities: Centerville, Circle Pines, Columbus, Hugo, Lexington, <br />and Lino Lakes. Staff will provide Council an update on this meeting. <br />I.1 Update on Beautification Subcommittee <br />The beautification subcommittee was formed last year with a representative from each <br />commission. The group has been working on a variety of different projects with the goal to <br />beautify the City. Leitz will provide an update to the Council regarding these different projects <br />and next steps. <br />K.1 Yellow Ribbon Network Update <br />Council Member Chuck Haas and Phil Klein will report to Council any updates on the City of <br />Hugo's Yellow Ribbon Network activities. <br />
