Minutes <br />Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br />Meeting of January 13, 2016 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br />Call to Order <br />Present: John Pontrelli, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub, Ranelle Tennyson <br />Absent: Tom Windisch <br />Staff Present: Scott Anderson, Public Works Director; Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner; Debi Close, Secretary <br />Dave Strub called the meeting to order at 7:05 pm. <br />1. Approval of Minutes from December Meeting <br />After requesting a change, Rauschendorfer made a motion, Pontrelli seconded to approve the minutes of the <br />December 13, 2015 Parks Commission meeting. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />2. Approve the 2016 Goals �.�. <br />Shayla Denaway presented the annual goals drafted at the December 13, 2016 meeting for review. <br />Discussion included: trails, Lions Park, Irish Avenue Park, plans and policies, and recreation options for <br />residents. Minor changes were made to better align the goals with the Capital Improvement Plan. <br />Tennyson made a motion, Rauschendorfer seconded to approve the 2016 Parks, Recreation, and Open Space <br />Commission Goals. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Goals determined: <br />Trails: Support a trail connection on Oneka Lake Boulevard/147th St with the road reconstruction project; and <br />identifying trails that would not be built with development or road projects. <br />Lions Park: Hold a workshop with the City Council; and draft a strategic plan for development of the park. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />Parks Commission Minutes <br />January 13, 2016 <br />
