G.10 Approve Appointment of Dave Strub as the New Chair of the Parks Commission <br />Parks Commissioner Tom Windisch has served as the chair of the Parks Commission since May <br />2014. The position was vacated with his resignation. Dave Strub has served as vice chair since <br />March 2016 and is interested in the chair position. Staff recommends Council approve <br />Commissioner Dave Strub as the new chair of the Parks Commission. <br />G.11 Approve Solicitation of Letters of Interest for Vice Chair of the Parks Commission <br />With the appointment of Dave Strub as the new chair of the Planning Commission, the vice chair <br />position has been vacated. Staff recommends Council approve solicitation of letters of interest <br />for the vice chair position. <br />G.12 Approve Reduction in Letter of Credit for Habitat for Humanity Homes in <br />Generation Acres <br />Habitat for Humanity Homes has requested a reduction in the cash escrow for public <br />improvements for the Generation acres Site. The original escrow amount for public <br />improvements is $99,365.00. City staff has inspected the site and recommends the escrow <br />amount be reduced to $50,000.00. <br />G.13 Approve Resolution Approving Brigs Backer CUP and Minor Subdivision at 9052 <br />140th Street North <br />Brigg Backer, 9052 1401h Street North, is requesting approval of a minor subdivision of an <br />approximately 32.68 acre parcel located at 9052 140th Street North and a 20 acre parcel located <br />immediately west of the property. The applicant is proposing to combine the two parcels and <br />split them into a 14.48 acre parcel, a 20 acre parcel, and an 18.20 acre parcel. The Conditional <br />Use Permit (CUP) is for approval of a shared driveway that provides access to an already <br />established parcel to the north. At its October 13, 2016, meeting the Planning Commission held <br />a public hearing and considered the request. There was no one in the audience for the public <br />hearing. The Planning Commission agreed that the application met the requirements necessary to <br />approve the minor subdivision and CUP. The Planning Commission recommends Council adopt <br />the resolutions approving the minor subdivision and CUP for a shared driveway. <br />G.14 Approve Proclamation of October as Toastmaster's Month <br />The City of Hugo has been contacted by a member of a Toastmasters group in White Bear Lake <br />requesting the City of Hugo proclaim the month of October as Toastmasters month. Staff <br />recommends Council approve the Proclamation proclaiming October as Toastmasters Month <br />G.15 Approve Renewal of Auto Dismantling License for Hugo Auto & Truck Parts <br />Mike Brant, owner of Hugo Auto Parts at 16615 Forest Boulevard North, has applied for renewal <br />of their Auto Dismantling Facility License, which expires on November 3, 2016. Staff and <br />Washington County conducted an inspection of the property on October 27, 2016 and found the <br />facility to be in compliance with City of Hugo and Washington County code requirements. Staff <br />recommends Council approve the Auto Dismantling Facility License for Hugo Auto Parts for <br />two years, to expire on November 3, 2018 <br />
