Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for May 2, 2016 <br />Page 7 of 7 <br />Update on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br />Council Members Chuck Haas and Phil Klein updated the Council on recent activities of the <br />Yellow Ribbon Network. Haas thanked Drytech for sponsoring Hamburger Night. The YRN is <br />receiving more requests for army survivor assistance services to help Gold Star Families. The <br />state chaplain has requested baskets for marriage retreats. The YRN will help staff a suicidal <br />awareness event on September 11th. They also hosted an event for the 147th Health and Human <br />Services Company by serving coffee and doughnuts. They will be assisting the 134th Brigade <br />Support Battalion during their training and are working with Lino Lakes YRN in getting their <br />501 C. Haas thanked City Attorney Dave Snyder for his help in that. They are still receiving <br />requests for care packages and receiving Girl Scout Cookies. A MN National Guard solider <br />moved into Hugo and requested help from a plumber and needed a fence installed. The company <br />installed the fence for free and informed Haas they did a fundraiser every six months and will be <br />doing one for the YRN. The Eaglebrook Church is hosting a volunteer community outreach event <br />and, and the YRN will be sponsoring a table. <br />Schedule Annual Performance Review for City Administrator Bryan Bear <br />Bryan Bear has been employed with the City since May 3, 2004. Bryan served as the Community <br />Development Director until being appointed the City Administrator on November, 7, 2011. Staff <br />requested Council schedule the annual performance review for City Administrator Bryan Bear. <br />Weidt made motion, Miron seconded, to schedule the annual performance review for June 13, <br />2016 at 7 p.m. <br />All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />Schedule Council Photo <br />There is no photo of the current City Council. Staff recommended Council gather for an informal <br />picture to be taken a few minutes before or after a scheduled Council meeting or schedule a date <br />on which to take a professional photo. The Council agreed to meet before the meeting on June <br />13, 2016 for a picture. <br />Adjournment <br />Klein made motion, Miron seconded, to adjourn at 8:53 p.m. <br />All Ayes.
