Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for April 17,2017 <br /> Page 3 of 9 <br /> Approve Temporary Lipuor License for the Hugo Lions Club for Good Neighbor Days <br /> Event June 8-11, 2017 <br /> The Hugo Lions Club had applied for a Temporary On-Sale Liquor License to serve beer and <br /> Bloody Marys at the Hugo Good Neighbors Day event on June 8-11, 2017. Staff had received <br /> the application fee and a Certificate of Liability Insurance for liquor naming the City as <br /> additionally insured. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Temporary On-Sale Liquor <br /> License for the Lions Club for the Hugo Good Neighbors Days event. <br /> Approve Resignation of Hugo Firefighter Matt Richardson <br /> Hugo Firefighter Matt Richardson had submitted his resignation from the Hugo Fire Department. <br /> Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the resignation of Matt effective April 30, 2017. <br /> Approve Renewal of 2 a.m. Lipuor License Sal's Angus Grill <br /> Sal's Angus Grill, 12010 Keystone Avenue North, had submitted their renewal of a 2 a.m. <br /> Liquor License, which allows them to serve alcohol until 2 a.m. by State Statute. Hugo City <br /> Code had adopted state law regarding the hours of sale but still must approve the 2 a.m. closing <br /> time. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the 2 a.m. Liquor License for Sal's Angus <br /> Grill. <br /> Approve Hiring of Marty Schwartz, Scott Marschke, James Magill, Hunter Natterstad, <br /> Kraig Pettee as Public Works Seasonal Summer Employees <br /> At its January 3, 2017 meeting, Council approved the advertisement for seasonal employees in <br /> the Hugo Public Works Department. Employees in this positon would assist in maintaining the <br /> City's park system, building grounds, road patching, and other work as needed. Adoption of the <br /> Consent Agenda approved the hiring of Marty Schwartz, Scott Marschke, James Magill, Hunter <br /> Natterstad, and Kraig Pettee as Public Works Seasonal Summer Employees for 2017. <br /> Approve Tobacco License for Ksiall Company, dba MGM Wine and Spirits of Hugo <br /> Ksiall Company, dba MGM Wine & Spirits of Hugo, had applied for a Tobacco License for their <br /> proposed liquor store at 5441 140th Street North. Ksiall Company successfully completed the <br /> background check. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Tobacco License for MGM <br /> Wine and Spirits subject to payment of the license fee and approval of the On-Sale Liquor <br /> License to be considered later this meeting. <br /> Approve Special Event Permit for MGM Grand Opening Event <br /> Victor Shevchunk, owner of MGM Wine & Spirits of Hugo, had applied for a special event <br /> permit to hold a grand opening at his liquor store on Friday, May 12, 2017. This required a <br /> Special Event Permit because they expected over 200 people and there would be amplified music <br /> in the parking lot. The applicant had submitted the completed application, application fee, and <br /> Hold Harmless Agreement. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Special Event Permit <br />
