Wastewater - It is estimated that the proposed project will generate <br />an average of 88,776 gallons per day (GPD) of wastewater. <br />Wastewater will be conveyed to the Metropolitan Wastewater <br />Treatment plant in St. Paul via the sanitary sewer trunk system. The <br />increase in wastewater resulting from the proposed project can be <br />accommodated by the system. The proposed development as <br />planned will require a change to the specific sewer districts in the <br />City's Comprehensive Plan. This will require a modification to the <br />existing forcemain discharge from the lift station on 130th Street. The <br />final routing of the sanitary sewer, as well as the required <br />improvements to the 130th Street System will be reviewed by the City <br />Engineering staff prior to permitting and construction. <br />Water/Wetland Resources —The project will impact approximately <br />1.32 acres of impact in seven areas, primarily to accommodate <br />proposed road crossings. Wetland impacts will be reviewed and <br />approved by the appropriate regulatory agencies and mitigated prior <br />to construction. The anticipated replacement ratio is 2:1. <br />Erosion prevention and sediment control best management practices <br />(e.g., silt fence, floating silt curtain, erosion control blanket, inlet <br />protection, and stabilization of disturbed areas) will be used to <br />minimize the risk of sedimentation offsite and into downstream <br />water resources. These requirements will be documented in the <br />Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), which will be <br />included in the final plans, as well as with the National Pollutant <br />Discharge Elimination System/State Disposal System (NPDES/SDS) <br />Construction Stormwater General Permit, which will be obtained <br />prior to beginning construction. <br />All best management practices used will be reviewed by the <br />appropriate state and local authorities prior to project construction <br />and any additional requirements will be incorporated into the <br />appropriate permits. By incorporating best management practices <br />during construction, adverse impacts to water resources are expected <br />to be minimized. <br />Stormwater Management — The project will increase the rate and <br />volume of stormwater runoff. Onsite stormwater treatment from <br />ponds, filtration, and water reuse are anticipated to be used to <br />mitigate water quality and quantity impacts. The proposed <br />stormwater management system will reduce the rate and volume of <br />the stormwater runoff and mitigate its impacts.
