level of education in a City, in Hugo the soon to be constructed elementary school is an <br /> extremely attractive feature, and something that differentiates us from other communities. <br /> Cities can market things that may be unique to them, such as a new school or their <br /> location, but the marketing of the amenities a City has to offer maybe the most important <br /> aspect. All Cities provide amenities to their residents, it is one of the core reasons for <br /> their existence, but not all Cities provide the same level of amenities; which is why it is <br /> essential that Cities demonstrate exactly what they have to offer. <br /> The City of Hugo may have a lot of growth and a new elementary school, but it <br /> also has a rapidly expanding parks program, with one new park currently being built and <br /> another in the works. It has a newly formed public works department that is now <br /> providing local control and responsibility for maintaining the City's roadways. It has a <br /> very active Lions club, which sponsors many annual events with the highlight being <br /> Hugo Good Neighbor Days. <br /> All of these things are amenities that the City has to offer. The amenities that <br /> residents want to see in their communities are the same thing business want to see when <br /> they examine a community. Therefore the most effective marketing tool a City possesses <br /> is its amenities, and the continued creation and development of these will not only create <br /> a better residential community, but a better business community as well. <br /> These points of emphasis, which suggest a City is an attractive location for <br /> business to locate usually speak for themselves and need little explanation and <br /> elaboration. What has to be marketed is the current opportunities available for the <br /> location of a business in your City. For example, the City of Hugo, in its marketing <br /> efforts needs to highlight both the amenities that the City possess, but also the recently <br />
