" Great Discoveries and Top 5 Goals from the May Workshop The following goals were ranked by the participants at the May 23, 2007 public workshop. The rest of the results from the workshop on the goals will be available on the City website. # 1. Protect and enhance the natural environment through sound land stewardship practices. At the June 20th Workshop... During the June 20, 2007 Comprehensive Plan Workshop, residents will be shown potential growth scenarios for the City. The growth sce- narios will be based on different densities according to how many lots per acre the City could plan to develop with. The growth scenarios will be shown visually with examples from other community's development strategies. This will show what the density will look like for each scenario. Maps will also be presented to illus- trate how much land is absorbed using each density and will give a better idea of why density is important. Land use is directly related to , these issues because it helps the City plans for the location, timing, and x intensity of land uses within the City. There is going to be a comment sheet and open forum during the workshop for people to share ideas on what they would like to see for the City and their own property. With your help, ideas, and visions for the City, the land use plan can be developed according to what the residents would like to see for the future of Hugo. f
