As a result, <br /> in 2001 and 2002 two Planned Unit Developments inducing approvals for just <br /> under 30,000 square feet of commercial square footage were made available <br /> at 70"'Street and County Road 19 and again at 70"'Street and Hinton <br /> Avenue. The County road 19 location,the Shoppes at Almar,will soon be <br /> complete. The two newest businesses are Kath Oil/Phillips 66 and Bonngard <br /> Family Meats. Kath Oil/Phillips 66 features 4,200 square feet and Bonngard <br /> Family Meats has 3,750 square feet. New Century Salon also opened in <br /> 2006.One building pad remains which is expected to be under development <br /> ` during 2007. 70th and Hinton is referred to as Summerhill Crossing. The <br /> 39,062 square foot Summerhill Professional Building is the new home for <br /> Bonngard HealthEast. As a result of that land option the 227,000 � 5square foot Renewal by Andersen facility opened in 1999 on 30 ��-� <br /> acres at Jamaica Avenue and 100"Street. The Renewal <br /> project won the 1998 Business Retention Project of the Year <br /> from the Economic Development Association of Minnesota <br /> (EDAM). This has been followed by new construction for nine <br /> new industries along with two expansion projects. <br /> I n 2006 we welcomed the addition of 2 more businesses to the R brts� dges i i ~� <br /> Industrial Park. They are Resorts and Lodges and ICHOR <br /> Creative Stone. The Resorts and Lodges building is 25,196 square feet and the ICHOR <br /> Creative Stone building is 42,014 square feet. Three additional projects have been <br /> approved but at year end 2006 are not yet under construction. <br /> R ... <br /> As the Industrial Park and the Jamaica retail district continues <br /> y to grow traffic congestion grows with them at the Trunk Highway <br /> 61 frontage roads and on/off ramps. After studying potential <br /> solutions it has been determined by MNDOT and the City that <br /> "`�'9� �►; ,_ the most cost-effective solution, long term,is to reconstruct <br /> Jamaica Avenue at the ramp/frontage road locations with a <br /> Roundabout construction design.
