• Course Construction and Structures <br />Course construction will begin around Monday, June 25, and no construction will take <br />place after 8 p.m. or before 7 a.m. that generates noise that can be heard off the property. <br />There will be a base area to include approximately14 tents ranging in size from <br />10' x 10' to 40' x 60'. These tents will be professionally installed and anchored. <br />Banners will be hung on each tent identifying its purpose such as food and beverage, <br />bag drop, information, etc. Inflatables will also be located in this area as well as a <br />sound system. The volumes will not be loud enough to conflict with each other and <br />will be on from 7 a.m. to approximately 6 p.m. each day. <br />• Food and Beverages <br />Food will be sold from licensed food trucks located in the base area. Water will be <br />available for free in the base area and at five locations throughout the course. This <br />potable water will be sourced by Water Monster, who will work with the City to obtain <br />water metered from a hydrant located in Diamond Point. <br />Tough Mudder will contract with the Hugo Lions Club to serve beer. Race participants <br />will receive one free beer with the registration if they are 21+years of age. <br />Identification will be checked and wristbands will be used. Two deputies will be located <br />in the base area where alcohol is served. The Hugo Lions Club will apply for a <br />temporary liquor license with the City of Hugo and provide insurance with the City <br />being listed as additionally insured. <br />• Bathroom Facilities/Rinsing Area/Waste Management <br />There will be 100+ portable restroom units on site, as well as four ADA units. There <br />will also be sanitation sink stations available near the restrooms. These units will be <br />cleaned and serviced overnight for use the next day. <br />Water will be pumped from the pond to a location where participants will be able to <br />rinse after completing the course. This water will be placed in a temporary pond and <br />treated prior to being used for rinsing. Water being used for obstacles will also be <br />treated. Signs will be located in the rinsing area alerting users that the water is non <br />potable, unsafe for drinking. <br />A waste management staff of approximately 30 employees will be present to pick up <br />litter and empty trash bins. Trash bins and dumpsters will be located throughout the <br />site and will be emptied regularly. <br />Wetland Impacts <br />The applicant will meet with staff to review possible impacts to wetlands. Following <br />the event, an inspection will be done and a recommendation will be made on how to <br />restore any affected areas if necessary. <br />2 <br />
