DESCRIPTION OF REQUEST: <br />The applicant is requesting approval of a conditional use permit (CUP) for auto sales, auto body <br />repair shop, and outdoor vehicle storage at the property located at 15587 Boulevard North. <br />2. BACKGROUND: <br />The applicant currently owns Kerstens Auto Sales at the properties located at 14057 Forest <br />Boulevard North and 5725 148h Street. The applicant has stated his desire is to combine the two <br />properties into one. He would like to use the site at 15587 Forest Boulevard for the business. The <br />business would include cleaning and repairing vehicles in the building and storing vehicles on <br />the east parking lot of the building. Vehicles will also be stored in the building in the <br />warehousing area. He is also requesting to conduct wholesale vehicle sales and a small amount of <br />retail vehicles sales on the property. The building totals approximately 18,000 square feet and <br />was formally used by a manufacturing business known as Micra Manufacturing. The applicant <br />currently has a purchase agreement on the property. <br />The business would have approximately 6-9 employees. Some employees will be doing body <br />work on the vehicles, such as buffing, cleaning, and small mechanical work, with others doing <br />the necessary clerical work in the office.
