Area East of Conservation Easement
• Circular 39: Type 2/3
• Cowardin: PEM1A, PEM1C
• Eggers and Reed: Fresh (Wet) Meadow / Shallow Marsh
This area extends from the northeast corner, where Frenchman 15Y mitigation area had been established,
southward to Rosemary Way. Drainage is southward toward Clearwater Creek. Most of the area is dominated
by reed canary grass and hybrid cattail. The reed canary has been somewhat diminished by mowing during
management of the conservation easement to be replaced by giant bur -reed (Sparganinium eurycarpum). See
data points 4 and 5. The south part of this area contains a stormwater pond along Rosemary Way, which may
have been designed to accommodate future development. The transition from upland to wetland is gradual in
the north part of this area, and more abrupt in the south part of Outlot B around the stormwater pond and the
building area.
