PARK DEDICATION: <br /> <br />The developer is proposing to dedicate 7.8 acres of land for the purposes of a public park <br />in combination with paying parkland dedication fees. Parkland dedication of 14.6 acres <br />is required, therefore the proposed dedication of 7.8 acres of satisfies 53% of the <br />requirement. The remaining 47% would be satisfied through fees. Currently, the park <br />dedication fee is $2,400 per unit and would therefore be $1,128 per unit or $359,832 in <br />total. <br /> <br /> <br />6. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the Parks Commission support the off-road trail improvements <br />and park landscaping and grading. Staff also recommends that the Parks Commission <br />have discussion on the City’s option to construct the remaining park improvements <br />(playground, parking areas, and park shelter, etc.) to be continued at a future meeting. <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the Parks Commission approve the park dedication proposal in the <br />amount of 7.8 acres and $1,128 per unit ($359,832 for 319 units). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />1.
