Fire Marshal Job Description <br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities <br /> All knowledge, skills and abilities of a Firefighter’s position. <br /> Ability to coordinate work with City staff. <br /> Ability to act effectively in emergency and stressful situations. <br /> Ability to read and interpret building construction and site plans and specifications. <br /> Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. <br /> Ability to participate in the development of departmental goals and objectives. <br /> Assists in the formulation of policies and procedures. <br /> <br />Education and /or Certifications Required Within 2 Years of Appointment <br /> All educational requirements for a Firefighter. <br /> Fire Inspector I Class or Equivalent. <br /> Attend any classes needed for the position as approved by the Fire Chief. <br />Annual Requirements <br /> Meet all annual requirements of the Firefighter’s position. <br />
