Minutes <br />Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br />Meeting of July 15, 2020 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br />Meeting held remotely pursuant to Minn. Stat. Sec. 13D.021 <br />Present: Roger Clarke, Cathy Moore —Arcand, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub <br />Absent: Shawn Haag, Mat Rauschendorfer, Ranell Tennyson <br />Staff Present: Rachel Juba, Community Development Director <br />Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br />Debi Close, Secretary <br />Strub called the meeting to order at 7:01 pm. <br />1. Approval of Minutes from the June 17, 2020 Meeting <br />Moore — Arcand made a motion, Clarke seconded to approve the minutes of the June 17, 2020 Parks <br />Commission Minuets. <br />Ayes: Roger Clark, Cathy Moore —Arcand, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub <br />Motion carried. <br />2. Oneka Lake Reserve Park Dedication <br />Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner informed that an application was received for Oneka Lake Reserve. The <br />developer is proposing to dedicate .65 acres of park land and pay $26,400 in park dedication fees. They are <br />also proposing to construct park amenities in exchange for PUD flexibility, prior to it becoming a city -owned <br />park. <br />The park would be in southwest corner of the development with a playground, gazebo, picnic tables and a <br />trike track. A sidewalk loop will be constructed and a trail would be constructed adjacent to 1501h Street <br />which would would connect to Oneka Lake Boulevard. <br />Strub asked about parking for nonresidents. Denaway informed 1501h St N would allow off street parking and <br />is a very low traffic road near the park. <br />Strub made a motion, Moore-Arcand seconded to approve the Park dedication land with park amenities and <br />fee of $26,400. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />July 15, 2020 <br />
