Minutes <br />Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Commission <br />Meeting of October 21, 2020 <br />Hugo City Hall, 7:00 pm <br />Meeting held remotely pursuant to Minn. Stat. Sec. 13D.021 <br />Present: Cathy Moore-Arcand, Roger Clarke, Shawn Haag, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub, <br />Absent: Ranell Tennyson <br />Staff Present: Scott Anderson Public Works Director <br />Shayla Denaway, Parks Planner <br />Debi Close, Secretary <br />Strub called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm. <br />1. Approval of Minutes from the September 16, 2020 Meeting <br />Clarke made a motion, Schmid seconded to approve the minutes of the September 16, 2020 Parks <br />Commission meeting. <br />Ayes: Roger Clarke, Mat Rauschendorfer, Nicole Schmid, Dave Strub <br />Abstained: Cathy Moore-Arcand <br />Motion carried. <br />2. Snow and Ice Control Policy <br />Public Works Director Scott Anderson reviewed the City of Hugo's Snow and Ice Control Policy and <br />Procedures. The map of the sidewalks and tails to be maintained was last updated in 2011. Anderson <br />provided an updated map which shows trails that Public Works have been maintaining and would like to <br />maintain. The maintenance of trails and sidewalks is secondary, with snow being cleared after all public <br />streets and city -owned parking lots have been cleared. <br />Cathy Moore-Arcand asked if homeowners are required to maintain the sidewalks on their property. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />Parks Commission Minutes <br />October 21, 2020 <br />
