'r -2- <br /> 4. Prior to starting the day care center operation, the owner <br /> shall meet with the City Building Inspector to make sure the <br /> structure meets all requirements of the State Building Code. <br /> 5. The owner shall provide at least five (5) off-street parking <br /> spaces. <br /> 6. Not less than two, 2-A rated ABC type portable fire extin- <br /> guishers must be provided within the home, one on the upper <br /> level in the kitehen and one on the lower level outside the <br /> furnace room. <br /> 7. Provided at least one product of combustion fire alarm detector <br /> for the lower level, to be installed as per manufacturers <br /> requirements. <br /> 8. Install not less than two automatic sprinkler heads within <br /> the furnace room. The door opening into this room must also <br /> be equipped with a door hook so as to keep the children from <br /> entering freely. <br /> 9. Fireplace on lower level not to be used during the hours Day <br /> Care Center is in service. <br /> 10. The Fire Department emergency number must be posted on all <br /> telephones within the home. Supervisory personnel must be <br /> familiar with the necessary procedures in case of an emer- <br /> gency. <br /> 11. Playground area shall be fenced. <br /> Members for: Peloquin, Rosenquist, Spitzer, Norden and Johnson. <br /> Motion carried unanimously. <br /> RICHARD VAIL <br /> Mr. Schwab stated he studied the parculation tests and discussed <br /> the matter of deep trench systems with Mr. McMien at the University <br /> of Minnesota. He said he disapproved of the deep trench system <br /> and said it was very expensive. Mr. Vail was asked if he would <br /> allow Mr. Schwab and Mr. McMien on his property for further study. <br /> He said he would and he would be interested in the recommendations <br /> made by Mr. Mallen. <br /> Motion made by Spitzer, seconded by Johnson, that we ask Bill Schwab <br /> to ask Mr. McMien to look at the system and make a report. <br /> Members for: Peloquin, Rosenquist, Spitzer, Norden and Johnson. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> The question was asked who pays the fee. Mr. Schwab said he could <br /> probably get Mr. McMien to come out without a fee. <br />
