Range in size from 20- 100 acres. <br /> 2. Serve an area that encompasses a one to two mile radius. <br /> 3. Serve a population of 15,000 people or more. <br /> 4. Community parks service several neighborhoods or the community as a whole. <br /> 5. Located near arterial or collector roads. <br /> 6. Recreational facilities may be passive in nature, hiking and picnicking;or active in nature, a <br /> series of athletic fields for organized sports and tournaments. Fields may be lighted.. <br /> 7. Community parks do not need to be within the MUSA. <br /> 8. Provide access to parks by existing or future trails. <br /> 9. Parking lots and restroom facilities need to be provided in community parks. <br /> 10. Community park land may encompass areas that offer unique natural amenities such as <br /> lakes, wetlands or woodlands;active community parks must be located on land suitable for <br /> development of facilities. <br /> 11. Community parks should not be developed in areas that may conflict with surrounding land <br /> uses. <br /> 12.
