Ordinance 2001-353 <br />Page 2 <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of terminating the moratorium in areas that have adequate <br />water and that do not interfere with the planning and orderly development within the Metropolitan Urban <br />Service Area; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, upon review and a recommendation from the City Engineer, has <br />identified an area in the City that has adequate water available to accommodate additional development <br />prior to the construction of the new water tower. <br />WHEREAS, this area is described as lying south of CSAH 8A (Egg Lake Road), east of TH 61 (Forest <br />Blvd.), west of Goodview Avenue, and north of a 125th Street. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />HUGO, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve a nine-month extension to the interim <br />ordinance establishing a temporary development moratorium on residential development within the <br />Metropolitan Urban Service Area, with the exception of the area lying south of CSAH 8A (Egg Lake <br />Road), east of TH 61 (Forest Blvd.), west of Goodview Avenue, and north of a 125th Street, as <br />specifically set forth in the interim ordinance as adopted by the City Council on August 2, 1999.
