Hugo City Council Meeting Minutes for May 18,2015 <br /> Page 4 of 5 <br /> Snyder explained that there needs to be written notice to property owner of noncompliance. He <br /> suggested staff be instructed to issue a notice of violation. The application for plan revision can <br /> be an option but not a substitute for the violation. <br /> Weidt stated he would like to see him comply first,then ask to make changes to the CUP if he <br /> wished. <br /> Haas stated he was concerned that the property owner will focus on revisions to the plan and not <br /> come into compliance. <br /> Petryk stated she would like staff to work with NRI if they go through with the request of <br /> amending their CUP. <br /> Haas made motion,Weidt seconded,to direct staff to send a notice of violation letter to the <br /> business owner requiring compliance to be achieved within 30 days,or Council will institute <br /> formal action at that time. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Update on the Yellow Ribbon Network <br /> Council Member Chuck Haas reported to Council on the City of Hugo's Yellow Ribbon <br /> Network activities. This month's burger night will be hosted by DryTech,and massages will be <br /> available by Healthsource that night. Haas thanked Monica Fry and folks at Keller Realty for <br /> doing yard work for a family in need. The YRN also worked with Stillwater Motors to helped <br /> get a car for a mother with three children whose husband was deployed. The YRN will be <br /> sending care packages to a platoon on their forth deployment. Jamie Rooney has been working <br /> with the City of Lino Lakes to become a YRN City. <br /> Update on CASH 7/8 Intersection Project <br /> Haas added this to the agenda to talk about the CSAH 7/8 intersection project. He thanked Becky <br /> Haydon from WSB Engineering and Washington County Commissioner Miron for working with the <br /> Cans by redrawing the road alignment to minimize impact to their property by saving their trees. He <br /> also complimented Becky for getting the potholes fixed immediately after becoming aware of them at <br /> the last meeting. <br /> Update on Washington County Library Public Meetings <br /> Haas added this to the agenda to talk about the Washington County Library Strategic Plan and their <br /> outreach meetings.One meeting will be at the County Government Center on June 4,2015 from 7-9 <br /> p.m. Residents should go it they have an opinion on the library. <br />
