Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the letter of <br /> resignation from Kitty Cheesbrow and the advertisement for the vacancy. <br /> Approve Appointment of Cynthia Schoonover as New Historical Commission Chair <br /> Cynthia Schoonover has worked alongside Kitty Cheesbrow since the formation of the <br /> Commission in 2002. With the resignation of Chair Kitty Cheesbrow,Cynthia has agreed to <br /> Chair the Commission with Council approval. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved <br /> Cynthia Schoonover as the new Chair of the Historical Commission <br /> Approve Special Event Permit for New Life Lutheran Church Open House on Saturday, <br /> August 15.2015 <br /> New Life Lutheran Church,6000 148th Street North,had applied for a Special Event Permit for <br /> an Open House to be held on August 15,2015 from 5-8 p.m. The event requires a permit <br /> because there will be amplified music. Adoption of the Consent Agenda approved the Special <br /> Event Permit for the New Life Lutheran Church Open House on August 15, 2015. <br /> Update on National Recycling.Inc. <br /> City Administrator Bryan Bear reviewed with Council the discussion at their May 18,2015 <br /> Council meeting regarding the noncompliance of the NRI property located at 15717 Forest <br /> Boulevard. At that meeting,the Council directed staff to send a notice of violation to the <br /> business owner requiring compliance to be achieved within 30 days,or Council would institute <br /> formal action. <br /> Bryan stated that significant progress has been made since then,and he showed the site plan that <br /> was approved as part of their Conditional Use Permit in May,2011. He explained that the <br /> property lacked some landscape for screening, striping of the paved areas had not been <br /> completed,and lighting needed to be installed. Bryan stated that the things remaining to be <br /> complete were not significant per staff. <br /> Discussion centered around Condition 5 of the Conditional Use Permit which states that no <br /> material shall be stored in piles directly on the ground. Scrap was being stored in the southeast <br /> corner of the site, waiting to be sorted and put into containers. It was noted that the use of the <br />
