Most of the speakers were from the Victor Gardens neighborhood to the east,adjacent <br /> to the proposed development. The residents voiced their concerns on architecture,drainage, <br /> landscaping,and traffic. The Planning Commission unanimously made a recommendation to the <br /> City Council to approve the preliminary plat and PUD,with a minor revision,subject to the <br /> conditions in the resolutions. <br /> Haas removed this from the agenda to bring attention to the new development and allow Mike <br /> Suel from DR Horton Homes to speak about the project. Mike talked about the use of <br /> stormwater for irrigation,construction of Oneka Parkway, and described the type of homes being <br /> built. Members of the Council stated that it was a very nice development and they were happy to <br /> have them in Hugo. <br /> Haas made motion, Miron seconded,to approve RESO 2015-38 APPROVING PUD GENERAL <br /> PLAN FOR D.R. HORTON, INC-MINNESOTA FOR"CLEARWATER COVE"ON <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED SOUTH OF FRENCHMAN ROAD(CSAH 8)AND EAST OF <br /> EVERON AVENUE NORTH and RESO 2015-39 APPROVING PRELIMINARY PLAT FOR <br /> CLEARWATER COVE ON PROPERTY LOCATED SOTUH FRENCHMAN ROAD <br /> (COUNTY ROAD 8)AND EAST OF EVERTON AVENUE NORTH and ORDINANCE <br /> 2015-471 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 90(ZONING ORDINANCE)OF THE <br /> CITY CODE TO CLASSIFY CERTAIN LAND LOCATED SOUTH OF FRENCHMAN <br /> ROAD NORTH (COUNT ROAD 8)AND EAST OF EVERTON AVENUE NORTH. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br /> Approve Resolution Approving PUD General Plan and Site Plan for Park Dental Extension <br /> of Final Plat for Victor Gardens North Village 6th Addition <br /> Frauenshuh Commercial Real Estate,had requested approval of a PUD general plan/site plan for <br /> an 8,100 square foot commercial building. The applicant is also requesting an extension of a <br /> final plat for a subdivision previously known as"Positive"for the creation of 1 lot and 3 outlots. <br /> The applicant is requesting to change the name of the plat to"Victor Gardens North Village 6th <br /> Addition". At its July 23,2015 meeting,the Planning Commission considered and held a public <br /> hearing on the request. The Planning Commission agreed that the applications met the necessary <br /> requirements to approve the PUD general plan/site plan and recommended approval to the City <br /> Council. Staff recommends Council approve the resolution approving the PUD general plan/site <br /> plan for the commercial building, subject to the conditions listed in the resolution. <br /> Haas removed this from the Consent Agenda to ask the developer about this project. Ross <br /> Hedlund,a realtor from Frauenshuh Commercial Real Estate, shared some information about the <br /> project and stated that they hope to have it completed by May of 2016. The Council welcomed <br /> them to Hugo. <br /> Haas made motion, Petryk seconded,to approve RESOLUTION 2015-40 APPROVING A <br /> PUD GENERAL PLAN FOR FRAUENSHUH COMMERICAL REAL ESTATE FOR PARK <br /> DENTAL COMMERICAL BUILDING ON PROPERTY LOCATED NORTH OF <br /> FRENCHMAN ROAD(CSAH 8)AND EAST OF ELMCREST AVENUE NORTH. <br /> All Ayes. Motion carried. <br />
