City Council meeting of April 1, 1991 <br />Page 4 <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS LETTER <br />The City received a letter from Washington County Public Works regarding <br />Washington County request of the Commissioner of Transportation to <br />transfer accumulated county -municipal funds to the county regular account. <br />No action was necessary. <br />REQUEST FOR USE OF CITY BALLFIELDS <br />The City received a letter from Ken Strantz requesting exclusive of the <br />City's ballfields on April 27 and 29, 1991 for a softball tournament. <br />Jesinski made motion, McAllister seconded, authorizing exclusive use of <br />the City's ballfields to Ken Strantz, representing the Ricci's Softball <br />Tournament, for a softball tournament on April 27 and 29, 1991. Approval <br />is subject to the following special conditions: <br />1. <br />On -street parking on Fitzgerald Avenue and 147th <br />Street be <br />such that <br />it does not disrupt the two-way flow of traffic <br />on the said <br />streets. <br />Activities on the fields shall not begin before <br />7:00 AM, and <br />must be <br />concluded no later than 10:00 PM each day. <br />3. <br />No overnight camping be permitted in the park. <br />4. <br />No glass beverage containers be permitted in the <br />park.. <br />b. <br />At the conclusion of the tournament, or no later <br />than 12:00 <br />noon on <br />April 29, 1991, all trash, rubbish, and other debris <br />in the <br />park shall <br />be removed and properly disposed of so as to leave <br />the pari:: <br />in a clean <br />and safe condition. <br />6. <br />The sale of alcoholic beverages on site shall be <br />done by a <br />licensed <br />vendor carrying the proper liability insurance, <br />as per Minnesota <br />Statutes. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT <br />BOARD OF REVIEW <br />The City Administrator reminded the City Council of the Board of Review <br />schedule for April 8, 1991 from 9:00 AM until 12:00 noon. Representatives <br />from the Washington County Assessor's Office has requested that the <br />Council meet about an hour prior to the start of the Board of Review to go <br />over the duties of the Board. <br />BOY SCOUT RECYCLING CENTER <br />The City Administrator discussed the current "mess" at the old Village <br />Hall. It had been determined that it would cost about $65i) to have the <br />debris cleaned up. Mayor Stolt man stated that he had been in contact <br />with Boy Scout representative, Roger Schadt, regarding clean up of the <br />site. The scouts will volunteer their services, and attempts will be made <br />to have some one tat. --.e the papers. <br />
