This matter was tabled from the City Council meeting of August 19, 1991. Fire Chief, Ron Istvanovich, was present to answer Council questions. McAllister made motion, Brunotte seconded, to table this matter until such time as the language in Section 3, Page 1, be changed so that dispatching of equipment and personnel would to to the emergency scene rather than the requesting party. All aye. Motion Carried. RESOLUTIOhl EXTENDING CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S CONTRACT In the spring of 1991, the City Council extended the contract with the City Administrator until December 31st. This extension was based on the City Administrator's reluctance to enter into a long -terry, contract at that time. At the August 19, 1991 regular meeting of the Hugo City Council, Mayor Walter Stolt man requested that the City Council formally discuss the desirability of proposing a contract extension for the City Administrator beyond the first of the year. Mayor Stolt man requested that the City Council consider that matter-, and contact him for their input prior to tonight's meeting. The City Administrator has provided formal notification that he is reaffirming his previous position, and will not be extending his contract beyond December 31st, except for the purpose of utilizing accrued vacation. Mayor Stolt man requested that the following resolution be prepared acknowledging the Administrator's decision regarding continued employment, and authorizing a contract extension to February 29, 1992 for the sole purpose of utilizing accrued vacation. McAllister made motion, Jesinsk.i seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1991-16 A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OF THE: CITY ADMINISTRATOR, as follows: WHEREAS, the Hugo City Council has entered into a contractual agreement: with the City Administrator to provide professional services to the City through December ?.1 , 1991, and WHEREAS, City Administrator Huber has notified the t:":_;_t_y Council of his intent not to continue his contract for administrative services pursuant to his employment agreement, and WHEREAS, the City Administrator- has agreed to accept an extension of his contract from January 1, 1992 to February 289 1.992 for the sole purpose of utilizing vacation time earned through December 31, 1991 pursuant to Section 11, C2 of his Employment Agreement, and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Employment Agreement of the City Administrator be extended to February 28, 1992 for the sole purpose of utilizing earned vacation through December 31, 1991. .
