This <br />matter was tabled from the City Council meeting of August 19, 1991. Fire <br />Chief, Ron Istvanovich, was present to answer Council questions. <br />McAllister made motion, Brunotte seconded, to table this matter until such <br />time as the language in Section 3, Page 1, be changed so that dispatching <br />of equipment and personnel would to to the emergency scene rather than the <br />requesting party. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />RESOLUTIOhl EXTENDING CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S CONTRACT <br />In the spring of 1991, the City Council extended the contract with the <br />City Administrator until December 31st. This extension was based on the <br />City Administrator's reluctance to enter into a long -terry, contract at that <br />time. At the August 19, 1991 regular meeting of the Hugo City Council, <br />Mayor Walter Stolt man requested that the City Council formally discuss <br />the desirability of proposing a contract extension for the City <br />Administrator beyond the first of the year. Mayor Stolt man requested <br />that the City Council consider that matter-, and contact him for their <br />input prior to tonight's meeting. The City Administrator has provided <br />formal notification that he is reaffirming his previous position, and will <br />not be extending his contract beyond December 31st, except for the purpose <br />of utilizing accrued vacation. Mayor Stolt man requested that the <br />following resolution be prepared acknowledging the Administrator's <br />decision regarding continued employment, and authorizing a contract <br />extension to February 29, 1992 for the sole purpose of utilizing accrued <br />vacation. <br />McAllister made motion, Jesinsk.i seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1991-16 A <br />RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT OF THE: CITY ADMINISTRATOR, as <br />follows: <br />WHEREAS, the Hugo City Council has entered into a contractual agreement: <br />with the City Administrator to provide professional services to the City <br />through December ?.1 , 1991, and <br />WHEREAS, City Administrator Huber has notified the t:":_;_t_y Council of his <br />intent not to continue his contract for administrative services pursuant <br />to his employment agreement, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Administrator- has agreed to accept an extension of his <br />contract from January 1, 1992 to February 289 1.992 for the sole purpose of <br />utilizing vacation time earned through December 31, 1991 pursuant to <br />Section 11, C2 of his Employment Agreement, and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HUGO <br />WASHINGTON COUNTY, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The Employment Agreement of the City Administrator be extended to <br />February 28, 1992 for the sole purpose of utilizing earned vacation <br />through December 31, 1991. . <br />
