Te August 3, 1987 Peltier made motion, Olson seconded, to approve the request of Chris Molitor and Stanford Krueger for a SUP to construct a 50' x 80' pole building (accessory building) in an agriculture zone prior to construction of the principal building. Approval is subject to the following conditions: 1. A building permit for the pole building must be applied for within 120 days of the SUP approval. Substantial construction of any building and improvements must be underway within 120 days of permit issuance. 2. Property lines must be identified on site by the petitioner to assure proper building setbacks when constructed if required by the building inspector. 3. The building in question must be for storage of farm equipment related to the farming operation, and no commercial or industrial use of the building shall be permitted. 4. Driveways built over ditches or drainage areas must include the installation of approved metal culverts in a manner acceptable to the city engineer. 5. No significant deviations from the approved site plan shall be permitted unless reviewed by the Planning Commission and City Council followed by an,amended SUP. 6. All fees relating to the review and issuance of this permit shall be paid by the applicant including the recording costs at Washington County. 7. The property in question shall not be subdivided while this SUP is in effect. 8. The property owner shall permit access to the referenced site for periodic inspections to assure conformance with this permit. 9. Failure to comply with all conditions of this SUP shall be cause for revocation of said permit. 10. Construction of the principal residence must be substantially underway by December 31, 1988. 11. A cashier's check or certificate of deposit, in the amount of $1,000.00, payable to the City of Hugo, must be filed with the city to cover the cost of building removal if home construction is not started by December 31, 1988. Potts made motion, Olson seconded, to amend Item 11 changing the value of the deposit from $1,000.00 to $2,500.00. VOTING AYE: Potts, Olson VOTING NAY: Peltier, Atkinson Motion Failed. VOTE ON ORIGINAL MOTION: All Aye. Motion Carried. 8.B Older Adult Home -Share Program Funding (Resolution) In 1985, the City of Hugo entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with other communi- ties in an effort to facilitate a home -share housing program sponsored by Lutheran Social Services. The city's contribution to the program in 1986 was $215.00 and $143.00 in 1987. It is proposed that the city's participation in 1988 will be ZERO. The concept of this program is to help older adults remain in their homes longer than otherwise possible by securing suitable live -ins to assist them with their day-to-day needs. The proposed resolution reaffirms the city's interest to continue participation in this pilot program during the 1988 calendar year.
