February 18, 1986 <br />5.6 David Schumann - Special Use Permit <br />19 <br />Mr. Schumann was present and requested a delay until March 17 for Council action. <br />The delay is requested to have legal counsel present with him, more time to remove vehicles <br />from his property, and have a full Council present. <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, that Schumann's application for a <br />Special Use Permit to operate an auto reduction yard be tabled until March 17, <br />1986, per David Schumann's request. <br />5.8 Verna Larson - Subdivision <br />The Planning Commission recommended approval of the subdivision of 20 acres into 2 ten <br />acre parcels, waivering the hardshell requirement. Mayor McAllister stated that a copy <br />of,8eed is not adequate proof -of -ownership, explaining further what is considered <br />acceptable - title opinion from an attorney or an abstract/title company. <br />MOTION: Potts made motion, Hauer seconded, to approve the land division for Verna Larson <br />to divide 20 acres to 2 ten acre parcels subject to Ms. Larson providing ac- <br />ceptable proof -of -ownership, payment of land division fee ($25.00), and payment <br />of parkland dedication ($100.00) . <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Hauer seconded, to amend the previous motion that <br />applicant provide the city with a signed Certificate of Survey. <br />AMENDMENT <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />ORIGINAL MOTION <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />5.9 Gambling Licenses - City of Hope <br />This applications will be considered at the Council meeting of March 3,1986. <br />5.3 Dee Dee Carpenter <br />Dr. Carpenter, principal of Hugo Elementary School, was present with Colleen Hocking <br />to discuss a new program at the school starting Tuesday, February 25th, 6:30 to 9:00 PM. <br />The program is a "community" oriented situation with the "end result" not yet determined. <br />It has endless possibilities, and is limited only by the input from the community. The <br />Council was invited to attend the meeting, along the business community, and leaders <br />of both churches. <br />5.7 Lloyd Chalupsky - Special Use Permit <br />Mr. Chalupsky is proposing the filling of Lot 3, Royalhaven Estates, with material from <br />Lot 9. The Planning Commission recommended approval subject to certain conditions being <br />met. Engineer Kuusisto reviewed Chalupsky's plans, and conditions were primarily based <br />on his comments. Mr. Chalupsky agreed to comply with the recommendations of the <br />Planning Commission, city attorney, and city engineer. <br />
