May 19, 1986 <br />5.8 Tony Yocum - Subdivision <br />Mr. Yocum is proposing the division of 36.5 acres into two parcels (30.76 acres <br />zoned RR2 and AGO and (5.74 acres zoned RR2). The parcels would lie at the inter- <br />section of Hilo and 125th Street. The Planning Commission recommended approval <br />with a waiving of the hardshell requirement. <br />MOTION: Hauer made motion, Potts seconded, to approve the application for sub- <br />division from Tony Yocum to divide 36.5 acres into two parcels, subject <br />to payment of $100.00 parkland dedication. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />5.11 Mike Jasinski - Special Use Permit and Variance <br />Mr. Jasinski, 17431 Greystone, is applying for a SUP to construct a 40 x 63 pole <br />building in the RR2 zone. The Planning Commission recommended approval subject <br />to certain conditions being met, one of which was the removal of out buildings <br />currently on Mr. Jasinski's property. During conversation, it was acknowledged <br />that there are two buildings which now lie partially on Elsie Jasinski's and <br />Michael Jasinski's property. The Council concurred with requirement that existing <br />buildings be removed prior to construction of the new building. <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Hauer seconded, to approve construction of the <br />40 x 63 pole building for Michael Jasinski subject to the removal of <br />the other buildings on his property. Building to be used for personal <br />storage only. <br />VGTING FOR: Mauer, Peltier, Schwab, McAllister <br />VOTING AGAINST: Potts <br />Motion Carried. <br />MO`T'ION: Peltier made motion, Potts seconded, to allow construction closer to the <br />road than the principal building. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />No building permit is to be issued until other buildings are removed. <br />5.12 Oneka Lake - Project 8611 (Opening of Bids) <br />The bids were opened by City Engineer, Howard Kuusisto, at approximately 7:30 PM, <br />with five bids in hand: H & R STUMPING, INC ($17,949.00), LAKE AREA UTILITIES <br />($57,195.00), BECKLIN BRO'T'HERS (13,810.00), JIM STEVENS CONSTRUCTION ($16,473.00), <br />and C/M BARRY CONSTRUCTION ($28,910.00). <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Hauer seconded, that the engineer take the bids <br />under advisement and return with a report with three lowest bidders. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />Following opening of the bids, there was a lengthy discussion regarding this project. <br />When this matter is again placed on the agenda, the clerk's office is to send <br />written notice to the people who have expressed interest in the project. <br />
