October 27, 1986 <br />Mr. Scobie stated that the building would be used for antique cars and gas pumps <br />which he collects. <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Hauer seconded, to approve the variance request <br />of Ron Scobie, 7676 120th Street, for the construction of a 40 x 56 <br />pole building closer to the road than the principal structure. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />6.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS - No discussion. <br />7.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS - No discussion. <br />8.0 NEW BUSINESS <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Potts seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1986-24, <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE TO INFORMN*Y LENDING <br />INSTITUTIONS OR ANY OTHER REQUESTOR, THAT THE CITY DOES/PROVIDE INSPECTIONS <br />OR CERTIFICATION SERVICES FOR WELLS OR SEPTIC SYSTEMS. THEY ARE TO <br />CONTACT A PRIVATE LABORATORY OR CONTRACTOR OF THEIR CHOICE. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />MOTION: Potts made motion, Peltier seconded, to renew the Cathodic protection <br />contract with Pennwalt Corporation for an annual cost of $290.00. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />The City received a letter from the MinnDOT stating that they are temporarily <br />condemning Irish AVenue, north of County Road 8A for the 35W project. A letter <br />is to be sent to Richard Braun stating that Irish Avenue had just been resurfaced <br />and that Hugo expects the road to be left in the same condition. <br />The City has received letters from a resident and a cable company regarding ser- <br />vicing Hugo with cable T.V. <br />MOTION: McAllister made motion, Schwab seconded, to send Mike Busha a letter <br />stating that the 1986 Council does not feel there is time left to effect- <br />ively study the cable matter, and that the 1987 Council will most <br />assuredly move forward with the project. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />The City received a letter from the Washington County Public Health Department <br />stating that Hugo is eligible for $1157.00 for solid waste management. They need <br />a letter from Hugo authorizing them to give the money to Forest Lake Township <br />Recycling Center. Hugo's scout troop asked that the letter be held until the <br />next Council meeting to enable them to contact FL to see if their troop could be <br />designated to received the allocation. <br />The City received a bid proposal from Tom Bernier to take care of snowplowing the <br />City Hall parking lot area and the lift stations at a rate of $40.00/hour. <br />MOTION: McAllister made iyiotion, Peltier seconded, to notify Tom Bernier that the <br />City is satisfied with the present snowplowing arrangement (Hugo Feed <br />Mill), and will keep his proposal on file for further reference. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />
