December 15, 1986 <br />recommendation that Mr. Sullivan be appointed to the Planning Commission. <br />MOTION: Hauer made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the appointment of Gerald <br />Sullivan to the Planning Commission to complete the unexpired term of <br />Bob Olson expiring 12/31/88. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />The 1987 City Council will deal with three vacancies - two expiring term 12/31/86 <br />and one unexpired term 12/31/88. <br />5.3 Liquor Licenses <br />Ken Huber, City Administrator, stated that the individual who holds the license <br />for Weigel's has withdrawn their application for a 1987 On Sale Liquor License. <br />Attorney Johnson suggested that the City should obtain a letter of withdrawal <br />from the license holder. <br />MOTION: Hauer made motion, Potts seconded, to approve the license applications <br />as submitted by the City Staff, with the exception of Weigel's. <br />(Outline of approved licenses attached). <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />6.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS <br />Mr. Huber stated that he prepared two Resolutions requesting authorization to <br />:increase the rate for water/sewer based upon the budget approved by the City <br />Council. The increase was needed to cover costs for administration, bookkeeping, <br />and audit services. The proposed Resolution will increase the minimum quarterly <br />municipal water billing from $9.00 to $10.00. <br />MOTION: Peltier made motion, Hauer seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1986-28, A <br />RESOLUTION INCREASING THE UTILITY RATE FOR MUNICIPAL WATER SERVICE. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />The proposed increase in sewer billing will cover costs for administration, book- <br />keeping, and audit services, as well as a 25% increase from MWCC. The proposed <br />Resolution will increase the minimum quarterly sewer billing from $22.75 to $27.15. <br />MOTION: Hauer made motion, Potts seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1986-29, A <br />RESOLUTION INCREASING THE UTILITY RATE FOR SANITARY SEWER. <br />All aye. Motion Carried. <br />7.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS - No discussion <br />8.0 NEW BUSINESS <br />Mr. Haber stated that he has had several discussions with Roy Brisson, regarding <br />his recent reelection as Hugo's representative on the Distrist Memorial Hospital <br />Board. Mr. Brisson has served for 22 years, and would like to "retire" from the <br />position. Brisson asked that Mr. Huber ask one of the out -going Council members <br />whether they would be interested in serving out the balance of his term. There <br />was no positive response, and Mayor McAllister suggested the matter be referred <br />to the 1987 Council. <br />
