The future, hopeful owner owns
his own tractor/trailer, and would like to park the rig on his property while
he is at home. There was much discussion as to what ordinance would be violated.
It was the recommendation of Mayor McAllister that the city attorney be contacted
to formulate an opinion for the clerk's office as to whether they could drive the
tractor -trailer on a gravel road and park the vehicle at his house.
MOTION: Potts made the motion, Peltier seconded, that inquiries coming into
Hugo City Hall about questinable situations, be referred to the res-
pective Ward Councilperson for review prior to an answer being given.
Guidelines for referring to a Councilperson:
1. Is the situation being proposed in a gray area when considering
the Hugo City Code?
2. Is the situation being proposed outside the "norm" for the neighbor-
hood in question?
3. Don't be afraid to ask for the person's name and phone number. A
Hugo staff person and/or Councilperson will cane back (within 3 work
days) with a course of action.
4. We shall not lose sight of the fact that this is a Council form of
government, and not one of just administration.
VOTING FOR: Peltier, Potts
VOTING AGAINST: Schwab, Hauer, McAllister
Motion Failed.
