32 April 16, 1984 <br /> MAPSI - cont. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the contract with <br /> MAPSI, with the addition of Item 17 stating that the service will <br /> respond only upon a request from the Mayor, City Council, City Clerk's <br /> office, or the Washington County Sheriff's Office. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 5.9 Soo Line Railroad - Land Division <br /> The Soo Line Railroad has purchased .7 acre frau the Zahler family (withrow area) <br /> for the construction of a 200' microwave tower on their property. The additbnal <br /> acreage is needed for the guide wires. There will be a restrictive covenant <br /> attached to the deed that in the event the property is no longer used for railroad <br /> purposes, the property would revert to the city. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, to approve the Land Division <br /> for the Soo Line Railroad, subject to the following conditions: <br /> Approval of the deed by the City Attorney and payment of incurred <br /> costs for the Land Division. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> 6.0 ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1984-4, <br /> A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A BOUNTY ON POCKET GOPHERS CAPTURED IN <br /> THE CITY OF HUGO, MINNESOTA. <br /> All aye. Motion Carried. <br /> MOTION: McAllister made motion, Peltier seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION 1984-5, <br /> A RESOLUTION DECLARING A MORITORIUM ON ANY FURTHER REVIEW OR CONSI- <br /> DERATION OF AMENDMENTS TO THE SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR THE WHITE BEAR <br /> ROD AND GUN CLUB UNTIL THE HU(DCITY ATTORNEY INFORMS THE COUNCIL OF <br /> ANY CHANGE IN THE INJUNCTION CURRENTLY IN FORCE RESTRAINING THE <br /> GUN CLUB FROM TRAP AND SKEET SHOOTING. <br /> VOTING FOR: Peltier, Schwab, McAllister <br /> VOTING AGAINST: Atkinson, Vail MOTION CARRIED. <br /> 7.0 UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> 7.1 Fireman's Relief Assn. - Retirement Fund <br /> The Fire Department has approached the city requesting that the city take part <br /> in their retirement funding. City taxes would be increased 1/10 of 1 mill <br /> with a very minimal increase evident on property taxes. McAllister talked to <br /> Frank Langer, and he informed Mike that homesteaded property with a valuation <br /> of $50,000 would have an increase of 41 ; property valued at $150,000, and in- <br /> crease of $3.78. McAllister suggested the Council contact other canities <br /> and discuss the matter with them. The Council will discuss proposal at a later <br /> date. <br /> 7.2 Ron Istvanovich - OSHA Regulation <br /> The Fire Department received a mandate from OSHA regulating the use of the <br /> Scot Airpaks. A letter stating the regulation, as well as how it will effect <br /> fire and rescuse personnel, was submitted to the City Council. <br />
