Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Leroux to certify $375.00 to the ,. . ) <br /> County Auditor for cleanup of George King Estate. Motion carried. IOU <br /> Motion made by Leroux and seconded to certify for collection of water <br /> bills to the County Auditor. Motion carried. <br /> Motion made by Martin, seconded by Smith to adopt Resolution 1974-18, <br /> A Resolution Appointing Election Judges For The City of Hugo, Minnesota, <br /> for the November 5th election. Motion carried. <br /> Motion made by Leroux, sem nded by Martin to adopt Resolution 1974-19, <br /> a Resolution Requesting and directing the County Auditor to reduce by <br />$5540.00 the taxes levied for collection in the next ensuing year for <br /> payment of the said principal and interest on Waterworks Improvement <br /> Bonds of 1961 . Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Burkard reported his office received a Revenue Sharing check in the <br /> amount of $2872.00. <br /> Regarding the $5141 .00 given to the County by the Dept. of Revenue Shar- <br /> ing, there was much paper work and correspondence between the clerk's <br /> office and Washington D.C. on the matter. They wanted to give the money <br /> to Oneka Township after there was no more Oneka Township because of the <br /> merging with Hugo. We can apply to the County for reimbursement of these <br /> funds. Motion made by LaValle and seconded that Clerk write a letter to <br /> the County Auditor requesting *5141.00 in Revenue Sharing money. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Martin that the Clerk write a letter <br /> requesting partial payment of Grant Funds for Sanitary Sewer Improvement <br /> Project for the City of Hugo, Motion carried. <br /> There had been a letter from NSP Co. stating they were requesting a 12% <br /> increase from the Public Service Commission on street lighting, pumping <br /> stations, etc., effective January 1 , 1975, and all contracts now held <br /> would be void effective December.. 31 , 1974. <br /> Clerk Burkard reported that on October 15th there will be a meeting for <br /> assessors and a city official should be at the meeting with the local <br /> assessor, according to statute. <br /> Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Smith that Mayor Lease attend the <br /> meeting along with the assessor on October 15, 1974. Motion carried. <br /> Voter Registration opens Thursday, October 11 , 1974. <br /> The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency would like a reply within ten <br /> days as to what the City is doing about the suspected Sunset Lake <br /> Pollution problem. <br /> Councilman Smith said he had a verbal bid of $505.00 form the St. Paul <br /> Technical Vocational School for the old police car. Burkard said <br /> Barnett will give $500.00 on a trade in. Motion made by Martin, seconded <br /> by Leroux to accept bid for 1975 Police Car from Barnett Chrysler for <br />$4889.23, and the present ,police car to be traded in at a quotation of <br />$500.00 from Barnett. Motion carried. It was noted a cashiers check in <br /> the amount of $244.46 was received from Barnett. <br /> Motion made by Martin, seconded by Smith to invest Revenue Sharing plus <br /> interest of $3208.38 in a CED for 90 days. Motion carried. <br />
