Motion made by Martin, seconded by Smith to adopt Resolution 1974-18, A Resolution Appointing Election Judges For The City of Hugo, Minnesota, for the November 5th election. Motion carried. Motion made by Leroux, sem nded by Martin to adopt Resolution 1974-19, a Resolution Requesting and directing the County Auditor to reduce by $5540.00 the taxes levied for collection in the next ensuing year for payment of the said principal and interest on Waterworks Improvement Bonds of 1961 . Motion carried. Mr. Burkard reported his office received a Revenue Sharing check in the amount of $2872.00. Regarding the $5141 .00 given to the County by the Dept. of Revenue Shar- ing, there was much paper work and correspondence between the clerk's office and Washington D.C. on the matter. They wanted to give the money to Oneka Township after there was no more Oneka Township because of the merging with Hugo. We can apply to the County for reimbursement of these funds. Motion made by LaValle and seconded that Clerk write a letter to the County Auditor requesting *5141.00 in Revenue Sharing money. Motion carried. Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Martin that the Clerk write a letter requesting partial payment of Grant Funds for Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project for the City of Hugo, Motion carried. There had been a letter from NSP Co. stating they were requesting a 12% increase from the Public Service Commission on street lighting, pumping stations, etc., effective January 1 , 1975, and all contracts now held would be void effective December.. 31 , 1974. Clerk Burkard reported that on October 15th there will be a meeting for assessors and a city official should be at the meeting with the local assessor, according to statute. Motion made by LaValle, seconded by Smith that Mayor Lease attend the meeting along with the assessor on October 15, 1974. Motion carried. Voter Registration opens Thursday, October 11 , 1974. The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency would like a reply within ten days as to what the City is doing about the suspected Sunset Lake Pollution problem. Councilman Smith said he had a verbal bid of $505.00 form the St. Paul Technical Vocational School for the old police car. Burkard said Barnett will give $500.00 on a trade in. Motion made by Martin, seconded by Leroux to accept bid for 1975 Police Car from Barnett Chrysler for $4889.23, and the present ,police car to be traded in at a quotation of $500.00 from Barnett. Motion carried. It was noted a cashiers check in the amount of $244.46 was received from Barnett. Motion made by Martin, seconded by Smith to invest Revenue Sharing plus interest of $3208.38 in a CED for 90 days. Motion carried.
