JUNE 29 1975 7 <br /> 6.2 PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> V. Peloquin to report on the White Bear Rod & Gun Club <br /> to the Planning Commission on June 11 . City Council <br /> to have report by their next meeting of June 16. <br /> Councilman Leroux stated she thought the Commission should <br /> review again the Open Space proposal. Mayor Lease did not <br /> approve of high valued land be taken for the use of a <br /> bicycle trail. Lease stated a park development committee <br /> should be formed and asked Leroux if she would take charge <br /> of such a committee. She said she would. Notice to be <br /> published in the Forest Lake Times to contact Leroux for <br /> those who are interested. <br /> 6.3 SEWER COMMITTEE <br /> Clerk read letter from Metropolitan Waste Control <br /> Commission stating they had received the User Charge <br /> System and that the report will be submitted to the <br /> Commission at its June 3 meeting, and that anyone is <br /> .lcome to attend. <br /> 6.4 BUILDING INSPECTOR <br /> Report submitted: 4 new homes, 3 garages, 1 remodeling <br /> 1 swimming pool. <br /> 6.5 FIRE CHIEF - No report <br /> 6.6 POLICE CHIEF <br /> Report given. Chief Barth stated that since Officer <br /> Jackson became fulltine, the burglaries have been cut <br /> in half. <br /> TREE INSPECTOR <br /> Submitted report - stated still working on final details <br /> for the dumping of diseased trees. <br /> 6.7 ATTORNEY <br /> 6.7.1 DAY CARE CENTER <br /> Attorney read the following: <br /> Chapter 257.081 Subd. 10 from Minnesota Statutes <br /> "Day care facility" means any facility operated to <br /> provide care for children for limited periods of <br /> a day. Day care facilities include but are not <br /> limited to family day care homes and group day care <br /> centers. <br /> Chapter 257.101 Subd. 6 <br /> Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, no <br /> municipality or other politcal subdivision may enact <br /> zoning ordinances which prohibit the use of a single <br /> family day care of five or less children, including the <br /> provider's children, so long as the facility meets <br /> requirements for licensure pursuant to this and all <br /> nnnlieAhle Int-al and Gtntp health nrrl P,_fPty rPLrulations. <br />
