JULY 21 , 1975 <br /> 7.4 REPORT ON PIONEER CLUB <br /> Council instructed Clerks office to send the second <br /> Nuisance Notice to the Pioneer Club for the removal <br /> of the debris on and near Egg Lake. They are to <br /> appear before the Council on August 18, 1975 if no <br /> action hasbeen taken. <br /> 7.5 STREET IMPROVEMENT <br /> Due to the lack of funds, there will be no oiling on <br /> any streets in Hugo. <br /> Any major street improvements, $5,000 or over, LaValle <br /> suggested that bids should be taken. <br /> CULVERT PROBLEM ON HENNA AVENUE <br /> G. Crane contacted Schletty requesting a larger culvert be <br /> installed on Henna Avenue. He was advised by the Mayor, that <br /> the County and the City of Hugo do not give culverts but that <br /> if the party wants to buy one, the city will install the culvert. <br /> 8.0 NMI BUSINESS <br /> 8.1 FIRE TRUCK BIDS <br /> The following six bids were received: <br /> 1 . Hugo Lions Club for $1 .00 <br /> 2. Edward L. Trudeau 14365.00 <br /> 3. Ronald A. Carlson 1)300.00 <br /> 4. Robert Drummond and Dr. Richard R. Nyman $525.00 <br /> 5. Dale W. Palmer $483.50 <br /> 6. John Freed $426.00 <br /> Lease read letter from the Hugo Lion's Club explaining <br /> that the Club wanted the truck kept in Hugo to be used <br /> in parades, etc. , in and around the community. A big <br /> percentage of the Lions Club members are Firemen and have <br /> many fond memories and would not like to see its career <br /> as a garbage hauler. <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, LaValle seconded to let the <br /> Hugo Lions Club take the truck as the monies <br /> offered are not too high. <br /> DISCUSSION: LaValle said he would not like to see the truck <br /> deteriorate. Leroux, Schletty and Smith said <br /> the letter stated that the truck be housed <br /> immediately and they wanted assurance that this <br /> maintenance program be carried out. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Smith & Schletty. <br /> MOTION CARRIED <br /> MOTION: Lease made motion, Leroux seconded, directing the <br /> Clerks office to mail all other bids back. <br /> VOTING FOR: Lease, LaValle, Leroux, Smith & Schletty. <br />
