�� <br /> � <br /> SECTION 4. GENERAL PROVISIONS <br /> 401 . Applicability . <br /> 401 .01 . Administration by state agencies. <br /> ( 1 ) Individual Sewage Treatment Systems which serve a <br /> single facility generating greater than fifteen <br /> thousand ( 15,000) gallons per day shall make <br /> application for and obtain a state disposal system <br /> permit from the MPCA. <br /> (2) Collector systems which serve fifteen ( 15) dwellings or <br /> five thousand ( 5,000) gallons per day, whichever is <br /> less, shall make application for and obtain a state <br /> disposal system permit from the MPCA. <br /> (3) Individual Sewage Treatment Systems serving facilities <br /> licensed or otherwise regulated by the State of <br /> Minnesota shall -ma4*s ,appli-cation for and obtain permits <br /> and/or approvals from the appropriate state agency. <br /> (4) Any individual Sewage Treatment System requiring <br /> approval by the State of Minnesota shall also comply '- - <br /> : ! <br /> with this Ordinance and all other applicable local <br /> codes and ordinances. <br /> 401 .02. Administration under this Ordinance. All Individual <br /> Sewage Treatment Systems installed subsequent to the adoption of this <br /> Ordinance and all alterations, extensions, modifications or repairs <br /> to existing systems irrespective of the date of original installation <br /> shall be regulated in accordance with all requirements of this <br /> Ordinance. Existing systems which show evidence of Sewage Tank <br /> Effluent discharge to the ground surface, ground or surface waters or <br /> other evidence of failure to-adequately treat the Sewage Tank <br /> Effluent shall be replaced , reconstructed or repaired within ninety <br /> (90) days of notice and order to comply by the Zoning AdministraThe. <br /> 402. General Requirements. <br /> 402.01 . Surface Discharge. Unless specifically permitted by the <br /> MPCA, Sewage, Sewage Tank Effluent, or seepage from a Soil Treatment <br /> System shall not be discharged to the ground surface, abandoned <br /> wells, bodies of surface water, or into any rock or soil formation <br /> the structure of which is not conducive to purification by filtration <br /> or into any well or other excavation in the ground . <br /> 8 <br /> 2 <br />
