402.0 2. Treatment Required . The Sewage Treatment System, or <br /> systems, shall be designed , installed and maintained , to receive all <br /> Sewage from the dwelling , building , or Other Establishment served . <br /> Footing or roof drainage shall not enter any part of the system. <br /> 402.03. System Components. The Sewage Treatment System shall <br /> consist of a Building Sewer, Sewage Tank and Soil Treatment System. <br /> All Sewage shall be treated in a Sewage Tank or Toilet Waste <br /> treatment device, and the Sewage Tank Effluent shall be discharged to <br /> the Soil Treatment System. <br /> 402.04. Prohibited Installations. Cesspools shall not be <br /> installed . <br /> 40 .05. Location . Sewage Treatment Systems and each component <br /> thereof shall be located and installed to insure that, with proper <br /> maintenance, it will function in a sanitary manner, will not create a <br /> nuisance nor contaminate any domestic water supply well . Location <br /> shall consider Lot size and configuration , proposed structures and <br /> other improvements, topography, surface drainage, soil conditions, <br /> depth to groundwater, geology, -existing and proposed water supply <br /> wells, accessibility for maintenance, and expansion or replacement of <br /> the system. Installation of Systems in low swampy areas, drainage <br /> swales or area subject to recurrent flooding is prohibited . Systems <br /> shall not be located within utility or drainage easements nor with <br /> dedicated public or private rights-of-way. <br /> 402.06. Clear Water Waste. Uncontaminated clear water waste <br /> from geothermal heat pump installations shall not be introduced into <br /> individual sewage treatment systems. Such waste may be discharged to <br /> the ground surface or to a body of water, however in no case shall <br /> surface discharge be permitted where such discharge encroaches on an <br /> adjoining property or public way. Where subsurface disposal is <br /> provided , such installation shall be separated from the required <br /> sewage treatment site and shall be designed and sized as prescribed <br /> for a standard soil treatment system. <br /> 403. Site Evaluation. <br /> 403.01 . Prior to the issuance of a building permit, a permit to <br /> _rtTt_ t <br /> install an Individual Sewage Treatment System must be obtained and a <br /> field investigation may be conducted by the Zoning Administrator of <br /> all proposed sites_. for Sewage Treatment Systems, at which time they <br /> shall be evaluated as to: <br /> ( 1 ) Depth to the highest known or calculated ground water <br /> table, zone of periodic saturation , or Bedrock . <br /> 2) Soil conditions, properties and permeability. <br /> (= ) Slope. <br /> (4 ) The existence of low lands, surface drainage swales, <br /> local surface depressions and rock outcrops. <br /> 0 <br /> h <br />
